Hernando County to Celebrate Ribbon Cutting and
Grand Opening of Anderson Snow Splash Park(Brooksville, FL) – Hernando County invites the community to celebrate the official Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening of the new Anderson Snow Splash Park on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 10:00am. The event will be held at 1360 Anderson Snow Rd, Spring Hill, FL 34609, and is open to the public.
This free community event will run from 10:00am to 12:00pm, and will include a special ceremony starting at 10:00am with remarks from local officials. County information tables, food trucks, and other family-friendly activities will also be on-site. The splash pad will officially open for play immediately following the ribbon cutting.
This project is a gift to the community, made possible through a partnership between the Hernando County Board of County Commissioners and the Rotary Clubs of Hernando County.
The Hernando County Anderson Snow Splash Pad is a state-of-the-art, 6,003 square-foot water play area that features:
- 32 interactive splash features
- A 5,000-gallon underground storage tank
- A water recirculation system that cycles every 3 minutes
- A capacity of 174 persons, placing it in the top 5% of all municipal splash pads in terms of size and capacity nationwide
“This project reflects the strong collaboration between our local government and civic organizations to enhance the quality of life for our residents,” said Jerry Campbell, Hernando County Commissioner District 4.

After months of anticipation, the splash pad equipment
and play toys have finally arrived, marking a significant milestone in this exciting project. This popular community space is becoming more dynamic as the splash pad area takes form, promising a fun and refreshing experience for children and families. The playful elements will include water jets, splash fountains, and interactive play zones—everything designed to create a cool, fun experience during the hot Florida summer months.
What’s Next?
As the splash pad equipment installation continues, the project remains on track for completion. Once all the play equipment is in place and the pavilion structure is finalized, the park will be ready to offer an upgraded recreational experience for families across the community. The splash pad will be a perfect complement to the park’s existing amenities, including the playground, sports fields, and walking paths.
This addition to Anderson Snow Park is part of a broader effort to enhance the quality of life in the area, providing more opportunities for outdoor fun, relaxation, and socializing. Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Rotary Splash Park at Anderson Snow Park
Hernando County Government Breaks Ground to Commence Construction(Brooksville, FL) – Hernando County Government and Hernando County Parks and Recreation is hosting a groundbreaking ceremony for the Rotary Splash Park at Anderson Snow Park at 9am on Monday, June 17, 2024. The groundbreaking ceremony will be on site at the location of where the brand new pirate themed splash park will be installed at 1360 Anderson Snow Rd., Spring Hill, FL 34609.
“This very much anticipated amenity is a great addition to Hernando County,” stated Jeffrey Rogers, Hernando County Administrator. “As the county grows, it is wonderful to provide the community with a 6,000 sq. ft. splash park right here in Hernando. We are excited to be able to provide a location for families to bring their children to play and cool off during these hot summer months without having to travel out of county. Through the partnership with the Rotary Clubs in Hernando County, the county will be able to bring the Rotary Splash Park to fruition.”
Anderson Snow Park will remain open to the public during construction. This project is anticipated to be completed late spring of 2025. The public will be notified when a ribbon cutting and grand opening has been scheduled after the installation of the splash park has finished.
