Hernando County Library Facilities Master Plan
The Library Facilities Master Plan is a long-range planning document that evaluates current library facilities and services. It identifies future needs to ensure Hernando County libraries can effectively serve residents as the community grows. The plan is intended to guide decisions related to library spaces, infrastructure, accessibility, and resource allocation, helping the County plan improvements in a strategic, cost-effective, and sustainable manner that aligns with community needs and priorities.

East Hernando Branch: 6457 Windmere Road, Brooksville, FL 34602 (off I-75 near Ridge Manor)
Staffordene T. Foggia Memorial Library (West Hernando Branch): 6335 Blackbird Avenue, Brooksville, FL 34613 (Near Weeki Wachee)

The Hernando County Public Library System will host an in-person public workshop to discuss the Library Facilities Master Plan on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The workshop will take place in the Utilities Training Room at the Hernando County Utilities Department Building, located at 15365 Cortez Blvd., Brooksville, FL 34613.
This interactive workshop will provide community members with an opportunity to learn about the proposed Library Facilities Master Plan and share ideas to help improve the Hernando County Public Library System. The workshop will begin with a brief presentation outlining the Master Plan and will then transition into an open house format, allowing attendees to ask questions, review information, and provide feedback.
